This arrangement grew out of a visit from James and Fran in September of 2008. We talked about arranging this one, but were too slow to get it done before they left, so we hashed out tempos, chord structure, etc. across nearly 5,000 miles via e-mail. Ah, the joys of modern technology. There are at least eight verses available for this traditional plainsong--I chose these three simply out of personal preference.
If you're using the score for women's voices, the top harmony will be sung an octave lower by the altos.

Lyrics
Oh, come, oh, come, Emmanuel,
And ransom captive Israel,
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!
O come, Thou Dayspring, come and cheer
Our spirits by Thine advent here;
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night,
And death's dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!
Oh, come, Desire of nations, bind
In one the hearts of all mankind;
Bid Thou our sad divisions cease,
And be Thyself our King of Peace.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel!
