I Stand All Amazed           In Him We Live           Come Unto Christ           Jesus, Once of Humble Birth           Silent Night           Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee

Silent Night
"Silent Night" is a short Christmas cantata lasting 25-30 minutes.  The spoken narration is simply the Christmas story from Matthew 1 and Luke 2 (KJV). A soloist also functions as a co-narrator, singing a single verse of "Silent Night" after each narration. Each of the three original songs in the program is based on a line or a concept from the lyrics of "Silent Night."

    • Voicing: SATB choir (with one SSA passage), accompanied by piano, with optional flute obbligatos for two songs. (The obbligatos may also be played on violin, or other C instrument.) The final song is sung by both choir and congregation.
    • Soloists : One or more medium voice.
    • Score formats : Full score; flute obbligatos.
