New Music: Christmas Carol 2021, “Child in a Manger”
Merry Christmas in September!
Merry Christmas in September!
Do we have room for the Son of God or are the chambers of our hearts full of clutter that shuts Him out?
For unto you is born this day in the City of David a saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
“… unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
One of my better headlines ever: it combines three of my favorite Autumn things–General Conference, Football and Christmas.
How cool is this? “When the Son of God Was Born” by two beautiful choirs–one singing and one signing.
My Christmas Card Carol for 2018 is called “Will You Come to the Manger?” It’s set for solo voice, and for duet.
My 2017 Christmas Card Carol… one arrangement with three different sets of words.
“Gloria! the angels cried; Gloria! to God on high; Gloria! our hearts reply; Gloria!” My 2016 Christmas Card Carol.
This arrangement combines an original melody with a single line from the familiar tune by John Baptiste Calkin.
Each year I try to do a “Christmas Card Carol” to give away in lieu of fudge or cookies. (That’s because you don’t want my cookery. Trust me.) I never seem to get them done in time to be useful for the current year, and this year’s is no exception. So…Here on Christmas Eve Eve (is that a thing?) is this year’s carol…
A new Christmas hymn, “As Sudden Angels Filled the Night,” written with Toni Thomas; and an arrangement of “And His Name Shall Be Called Wonderful” by Kurt Bestor.
Laura Pattillo’s lovely new Christmas album. including a Kurt Bestor arrangement of “And His Name Shall Be Called Wonderful.”
2014’s Christmas Card Carol, actually done before Christmas? I’ll have to write this one in my journal!
“Star of Wonder,” my Christmas Card Carol for 2013: a year later it’s ready to go!
